To-hit bonus: +1
Special abilities: In the hands of a Sorcerer or Wizard, this staff grants damaging spells an additional +1 damage per caster level. In the case of spells which strike more than once, this bonus damage is applied only once.
Holy Quarterstaff: A humble staff with a seraphic feel.
Damage: 1d6/1d6 bludgeoning.

I was named after the Roman goddess Acca Larentia. A pretentious name from parents who thought I was destined for great things. Of course, they imagined themselves destined for great things as well…
My parents were revolutionaries, head of the organization Adsertor. The moment I came of age, they decided it was time to pay our “King” his due, and led me along with half the province to battle. King Custos, (self-appointed) decided our land was too peaceful, too beautiful, I guess, and wanted to ruin it all himself. Enslavement, hoarding goods for himself, propaganda. After a year, my parents had enough.
Adsertor spent five long years planning this battle, yet no one could have possibly prepared for what was to come. Custos, our “deserving and benevolent King” headed off the attack long before any of us were in range. Fire rained from the heavens, vines twisted around his only prisoners – my parents – the rest who did not flee were slaughtered. Custos, it turned out, was a powerful sorcerer. I, a coward at 12 years hid and helped no one. I watched as my parents were lifted into the sky by the most menacing monster I had ever seen. A dragon, maybe? Who knows?
That was ten years ago. There is no way of knowing if they are still alive, but I intend to find out.
I had let my parents, Adsertor, and my country down, so I changed my name and fled. My family name is now Adsertor, in recognition of those who fell that day, and my will to be free. I will never tell you my original name. That name died the day I left my country.
I travelled far on my own, past mountains and rivers, but one night, in the freezing highlands of god knows where, I thought I had reached my end. With no shelter and no possible way of making a fire, I huddled on barren ground and waited for death. Suddenly – a warmth crept over me, and spread until it encompassed my whole body. I assumed I was feverish, possibly a symptom of my dying body. However, the heat grew until I became hot, and began to swelter. I began to feel a surge of energy, and finally a great fire burst from somewhere inside me. I suddenly grew very cold again, then collapsed with nausea. That one instance may have been what kept me alive that night.
I kept wandering until I found a small village where I met Múin. A dark man spanning almost seven feet took me, not because of pity, but because he recognised the makings of a sorceress in me. He taught me everything I know.
Only a great and powerful Sorcerer will ever be able to defeat Custos, and that sorcerer can only be me. I still crave to be more powerful so that one day I will be able to return to my homeland, avenge my family and find my parents – alive or dead.
